Death, Dying, and Living

I believe thinking about death in a healthy way is one of the best things you can do in order to gain and give the most pleasure out of your day to day life.   If you are conscious of the fact that life is not forever, nor is it guaranteed to last a certain amount of time, you will make better choices.  You will treat others better, spend less time with people who aren’t good for you, and appreciate more of what you have…before the day comes and you no longer have it, or him, or her.

That is what living is all about.  Knowing that tomorrow may not come and to live the day as if it was your second chance to make it the best.  “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Matthew 24:36

Just in case I’m not here tomorrow, I want you to know that I cherish every day I have with you and your dad, knowing that each day isn’t promised.  This has given me a fullness of life that no riches can buy and my prayer is that you come to understand this and apply it to your lives…each and every day.
